"Have You Ever Been to...?"

Tuesday 14th October, 2014

Hello guys! How are you doing? (This means “How are you?”)

We started the lesson with your presentations on celebrations and festivities.

For some of you the best celebration is your birthday. You have a party on that day and you get presents.
Other students talked about ‘Halloween’ because there’s little time left for it. It’s on 31st October. You like it because you wear fancy dresses. You dress as ghosts, witches and monsters. And the best thing is that you go out with your friends.

Then, we revised prepositions of time: on, in, at.

We reviewed pronunciation of irregular participles. You can practice and revise them with this video.

We also reviewed or learnt countries and nationalities.

After that, we interviewed each other using this expression:
Have you ever been to …? Turkey, Thailand, the U.S.A. etc.
Don't forget to do homework.
Write 2 questions, 2 affirmative sentences and two negative sentences using present perfect. Look at the example below (under).
Have you ever been to China? I've been to Italy. I haven't been to Turkey.

And we finished playing hangman with countries and nationalities.
